How To Become An Olympian
This is all but a dream for many Olympic hopefuls around the world. During our teenage years, I bet at some point we have all seen ourselves with a gold medal hanging around our neck, but in order for that to happen, dedication and physical strength will need to play a huge role. If you already have both of these, I shall see you in the London 2012.
Entering in the Olympic Games will be challenging and only the strong will survive. You will have to put your life into sport, going through some intensive training and competing against hundreds of athletes worldwide. To start with you will need to pick a sport. The sensible option here is to take on a sport that you are already good at, but think carefully, popular sports have millions of enthusiastic candidates and the competition is stiff. The wise thing to do is to find a sport that suits your physique, I hate to burst your bubble, but no matter how keen you are, unless you have the fitness and endurance, you will never be an Olympic swimmer.
Now the next step will be to discover your qualities and improve them, you will need to put in a tremendous amount of time, but if you find yourself struggling and you need a little inspiration, the best way to get this is by obtaining a trainer that will encourage you and push you every step of the way. When you are ready to take on the world, your next step is to join the National Governing Bodies. Now it’s time to partake in serious events like the National Championships, similar to that of the Olympic Games and going forward, the World Championships where you can qualify for the Olympics, so if you want to be in the Olympics 2012, this is your chance. When choosing a career like this, make sure you have the money to help you along your path. That’s all you need to know for now, the rest is up to you. So be ready for whatever people throw at you and fight your way to gold in the London Olympics.
